It’s the year 2010 and Mystic Falls is being plagued once again by Vampires, though most of the humans are unaware. In 1864, the occupants of Mystic Falls thought they burned a group of vampires to the ground along with the church that contained them, but they were sadly mistaken, and now their descendants must pay the consequences.
Stefan and Damon Salvatore, two of the Founding Families original members, have wandered through Mystic Falls for centuries, however it wasn’t until 2010 that they decided to settle down and really interact with the humans again.
Thanks to Damon and his lust for his maker Katherine, a few of the vampires that were ‘burned’ were released from their prison given to them by a witch all those years ago in place of a slow and painful death. The surprise? Katherine wasn’t in the tomb, in fact she had never been put there, she some how avoided it all together in 1864 and went on her merry way without so much as a word to any of the other vampires that escaped.
However, Katherine has come back to Mystic Falls when she found out a dear friend of hers-Pearl had fled the tomb, as did other vampires. She’s been made aware that Stefan and Damon were around as well as her doppelganger that goes by the name of Elena Gilbert. Katherine was thrilled to hear that both the boys were still in Mystic Falls. She found them both charming and very amusing back in 1864, but since then she has only perfected her skill of using people and always gets what she wants. The question that really remains is- what does Katherine really want? Some assume she came back to reclaim Mystic Falls for herself, but others cant see past the nice girl image she has perfected so well. Mystic Falls is ready for a wake up call, but its only going to get messier before it is over.
Enter Pearl and her group of vampires. After Bonnie and her now deceased grandmother opened the tomb for Damon to go after Katherine, Anna was able to save her mother. The problem with this is the tomb let lose a whole bunch of vampires. Most of which now reside with Pearl at the Gibbson's house.
With two vampires fighting for control over the town that they once resided in, this can only lead to conflicts. Now add in a bunch of oblivious humans, and of course that will lead to quite a few deaths.
